Forensic mental health assessment is the process in which qualified clinical professionals conduct evaluations for courts and attorneys. Forensic evaluations typically involve a thorough examination of various sources of information, including clinical interviews, legal and criminal records, mental health collateral records, psychological testing, and other data. The goal of the assessment is to provide information relevant to the evaluee's mental functioning relevant to a specific legal question to assist legal factfinders or attorneys.
I am a highly trained forensic psychologist who has conducted hundreds of forensic evaluations and been qualified as an expert in many courts.
I have completed over 850 forensic mental health evaluations in various jails, prisons (federal and state), and forensic hospitals, including Connecticut Valley Hospital, Bridgewater State Hospital, and multiple Massachusetts Department of Mental Health facilities. I have been qualified as an expert to testify in numerous courts and been recognized for effective and clear testimony. I maintain certification as a Designated Forensic Psychologist in Massachusetts, which is an accreditation only granted to evaluators in the Commonwealth recognized as having the requisite expertise to conduct court-ordered evaluations.
